The steering stop on the Stark Varg MX1.0 has a tendance to break off of the frame relatively easily in crash situations more intense than just a mild tip-over, so we've developed a simple and innovative brace to greatly reduce the likelihood of this happening. By joining the two stops together, we can effectively eliminate the bending moment that tries to tear the stops from the frame whenever they are contacted by the triple clamps. Trust us when we say this is not a fun repair to perform, this is cheap insurance against a potentially costly and time consuming frame repair. Aluminum hardware is included to provide a cushioned but firm feel when the triple clamps lock out against the stops, reducing the wear that the stock steel bolts can cause on the clamps.
Steering stop braces come in two different widths to accommodate a mid-model change that took place shortly after the Varg was first released, so if you aren't sure which size fits your bike and you are unable to measure the distance between the stops you most likely need the 65mm version (only the earliest Vargs need the 54mm version). Please refer to the diagram below as a guide to determine which size you need.
Features:
- Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a high quality class 1 clear anodize
- Reduces the likelihood of steering stops breaking free from the frame and causing the need for costly repairs
- Aluminum mounting hardware included to reduce wear on tiple clamps and provide a cushioned feel
- Mounts made 100% in the USA from USA sourced material (hardware is made by our friends in the UK)
